Who provides Grex

Grex is provided by Piero Group Pty Ltd. This policy explains how information is used by this website and the Grex app, including cloud videos, AI features, purchases and support.

This website

This website does not offer account registration, collect payment details, or use advertising or analytics scripts. Fonts, images and sample footage are served with the site. Cloudflare hosts the website and may process connection information, including IP addresses and request information, to deliver and protect it. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Information used by the app

• Account information: your sign-in email address, account identifier and session information. Apple may provide a private relay email address when you choose that option.
• Creative content: prompts, conversations, photos, videos, audio, documents, voice samples, reusable assets and generated files you create or submit.
• Purchase and usage records: verified transactions, subscriptions, credit grants, balances and records of work charged to your account. Apple handles payment details for in-app purchases.
• Optional notifications: a device notification token when you enable notifications about completed work.
• Operational information: information needed to investigate errors, prevent abuse, protect accounts and keep the service working.

AI processing and service providers

Grex uses Cloudflare for cloud services and storage. The AI services used depend on the feature you request:

• OpenAI: processes instructions, video conversations, linked references and relevant files for AI direction and built-in image creation. If you use dictation, OpenAI processes your microphone audio to transcribe it.
• fal.ai: processes prompts and relevant images, video or audio for media generation and enhancement. Configured models include MiniMax H3 Max for video, IndexTTS-2 for new voice synthesis from saved recordings, MiniMax for earlier MiniMax voices, ElevenLabs for matching spoken words to audio timings, Topaz for video enhancement, and FLUX.1 schnell for image generation. These model features are accessed through fal.ai.
• Runpod: hosts Singularity video generation and processes the prompts and reference images, video and audio needed for those requests. If generation is unavailable or fails, eligible requests can use fal.ai instead.
• Modal: hosts custom video models when selected and processes the prompts and reference images, video and audio needed for those requests.

Earlier versions of Grex used Cartesia for voice cloning and speech. Previously submitted recordings and cloned voices remain subject to Cartesia’s privacy policy; switching providers does not erase those submissions.

Only use recordings and material you have permission to provide. Voice processing can include the recording used to create a voice, the words you ask it to say, and generated speech used to establish word timings.

The app presents an AI-processing disclosure and asks for your permission before covered AI operations. Recording or photo-library permission from your device is separate from permission for AI processing. Declining AI processing prevents those features from sending content to the covered providers.

Processing may take place outside Australia or the country where you live. Provider retention, security and use of submitted information depend on the service and applicable agreement. See the privacy notices from OpenAI, fal.ai, Runpod and Modal. Permission to use an AI feature does not mean a provider immediately deletes the information it receives.

Apple processes App Store purchases. If independent web purchases are made available, Stripe handles those payments under its own privacy policy. This marketing website has no checkout.

Your choices and deletion

In Grex for Mac, Use this Mac lets you share a separate Grex Chrome session or a selected iOS Simulator with one video. While sharing, Grex’s cloud AI can inspect and operate that surface, including products available only on your Mac. Page content, screenshots and recordings can be sent to Grex’s cloud storage and the AI services used for your video. Your existing Chrome profile and tabs are not shared.

Chrome window recording requires macOS Screen Recording permission. Simulator inspection and input require Accessibility permission. These silent captures do not require your microphone, camera or Full Disk Access. You can stop sharing from the banner in Grex and change system permissions in macOS Settings. Stopping prevents new local actions; it does not delete captures already uploaded. Original captures also remain in Grex’s local Captures folder, which you can open from Use this Mac and manage yourself.

If you create a share link, Grex serves that saved video from its Cloudflare storage. Anyone with the link can see the film’s title, watch it and forward the link. Share pages ask search engines not to index them. You can stop sharing from that saved version; deleting the video or your account also disables its links. Archiving keeps share links active. Copies someone has already downloaded or recorded are outside Grex’s control.

You choose the content you upload. Microphone, camera, photo saving and notifications use the relevant device permissions. You can change those permissions in device settings and manage AI-processing permission in Grex Settings.

You can request account deletion by emailing support@grex.video. Use Settings → Delete account when that option is available in your app. Export anything you want to keep first. Account closure and removal of stored content are separate steps, and cleanup may take time while active work is stopped. Withdrawing AI-processing permission prevents new covered processing; it cannot undo requests already sent to a provider.

Storage and retention

Grex stores account details and creative content to keep your videos available across devices. Archiving a video does not delete it. Optional projects group videos and shared assets. Deleting a project keeps its videos and moves assets saved only there to My assets. Deleting a video does not remove an independent copy you saved to My assets or exported to your device.

Purchase and credit records may remain after account closure for accounting, refunds, fraud prevention and legal obligations. Limited account and transaction identifiers are also retained to prevent old requests or purchases from restoring a deleted account. Removing an account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription; manage subscriptions through your Apple account.

Provider-held information and backup copies may follow separate retention and deletion processes. Contact us for information about the records retained for your account or to raise a deletion request concerning a provider. This policy does not promise immediate erasure of every copy.

Changes to this notice

We will update this notice as the service changes and show the revision date above. Material changes to processing will be explained before they apply, with new permission requested where required.
